Creative Collaborations

Nestled away behind Sadlers Wells is the Jacqueline Byrne bespoke wedding shop. Every fine detail of her exquisite dresses has been made by hand. This year we have been working together on various interesting projects.

Our most exciting commission Jacqueline gave Krausz Jewellery was to create a neck piece and cuff which were "Bafta worthy". Here is the end result....

Nonsuch Fun

On a beautiful summer's day at the very grand Nonsuch Manor in Surrey, I got to take a day off from making jewellery to act as a photographer's assistant to Matthew Quake. The models were wearing my jewellery to accessorise the Lucy Tamamm wedding dress shoot.  They all looked gorgeous and, although the schedule was tight, they managed to make it fun too. The shoot went smoothly and the photos look fabulous...

The Inspiration for my latest collection.

Wedding Shows are 'In'

After weeks of hard work and preparation, designing and creating new wedding collections, the day of the In Wedding Show arrived.

The event was held in Alexandra Palace  -  a beautiful, stunning venue. The fair was very busy with the 'taster' temptations of a vast number of wedding cake stalls which would have left me high on sugar for weeks. I was of course restrained.

I was really lucky having hired a van driver who turned out to be most helpful and intelligent and he kept us entertained en route to the event, which was a real bonus.

I was also lucky to have the help of my lovely friend Susie who kindly got up super early on a Sunday, to help out and make some good sales....

To sum up - a super success of a day!!

Spring Photo Shoot

Day in the life of a jewellery photo shoot:

I took the train from London to a pretty village in the North East. I love train journeys and it always gives me time to reflect.

Photo shoots days are always exciting as it is the culmination of months of hard work designing and producing the collection.

The photographers were great guys and very professional but preferred I didn't hang around during the shoot, so after watching for a while I left them to it. The photoshoot was set up in a barn and the surrounding countryside was beautiful, so I set off for a walk and found the next few hours of waiting for the shoot to finish just flew by!

A great day after a great design project.
Now back to the studio to start on the next one....sigh....
